RECORDING LIBRARY

The Community Talk Series serves as a platform to expose people of all ages — and especially youth — to diverse perspectives on the intersections of STEAM disciplines and social justice issues, as well as career possibilities that center such work. The live talks are open to the public and recorded and posted here to ensure dissemination to the next generation of leaders, scientists, activists, and change-makers.

  • Attended the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow

 

DASIA TAYLOR

  • University of Iowa Freshman

  • Invented color-changing sutures to detect infected areas

  • Finalist in the Regeneron Science Talent Search and won awards at several regional science fairs

  • Co-Chair of the Equity Advisory Committee and Student Representative on the School Safety Advisory Committee

  • Appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show to debut her invention.

  • Featured in numerous news outlets, including Black Enterprise and Smithsonian Magazine.
